Roger's Day Off

Trevor

Drinking

You have to drink with Trevor so he reveals he is a time traveller and shows you the snuff-box and newspaper clipping.

The ciders have different strengths:

  1. Elderflower cider (3.7%)
  2. Golden Perry (4.3%)
  3. Westland Scrumpy (6.8%)
  4. Old Rosie (7.3%)

The game calculates how drunk Roger gets based on the idea that, every beer, his body clears some alcohol and imbibes more.

This means to get the overall least drunk, you must drink the strongest first (to give it more time). However, drinking 4->3->2->1 would do, except 4->3->2, already peaks over 100%.

The solution is to swap a weaker drink for a stronger one, which will result in being more drunk, but still lower than 100%.

The solution is: 4->3->1->2.

The game calculates each time how drunk Roger is and shows you the percentage. This is based an an internal calculation formula.

Trevor's Boots

Trevor asks Roger's advice on where to hide his valuables. You can suggest:

  1. In the wardrobe
  2. In a drawer
  3. In the room safe
  4. Inside his smelly boots

1,2,3 Trevor dismisses as obvious. 4 he likes, but if you do suggest (4), Trevor is suspicious and does not hide in his boots anyway.

The solution is to suggest 1,2 or 3 then say you have no more ideas and then Trevor hides the stash in his boots.

Later, Roger disguises himself as a porter and has 2 moves to get the stash from Trevor's boots.

Mortimer

Roger must show the newspaper clipping to Mortimer before leaving the timezone. Otherwise Mortimer will lose all his money in the 1929 Crash.
